Keno Strategy
Since Keno is a game of luck many believe that there is no clear cut strategy that can be applied but there are a few valid points that should be considered before you start to play keno.
How to Choose Your Keno Numbers
Before you choose your keno numbers it is advisable to review the board for a while and see which numbers keep coming up. In other words the numbers which have not come up are the ones you need to choose. Don't give up on the first go if your numbers are not hit, there is probability involved here and they will probably come up. When playing keno, you have to have at least four rounds of the same numbers in order to determine if they are good numbers or not. The probability of hitting your keno numbers gets higher after each round of not hitting them.
Another good way to choose winning keno numbers is to try and choose numbers that are sequential, in other words choose a 1, 2, 3 or a 20, 21, 22. After watching a few Keno games you will see that numbers for some reason often come up next to each other i.e. in pairs. So if you choose three in a row you have a good chance of two out of the three coming up.
The More You Choose the Better
Although your chances of winning at keno may reduce in some ways the more numbers you choose, the more numbers you choose can also give you a higher potential win. By choosing the optimum amount of numbers that you can, you are spreading your chances across the board and if you are very lucky you can win the largest payout. A player that only chooses 2 numbers out of 80 has a 1 in 40 chance of winning, whereas a player that chooses 10 numbers out of 80 has a 1 in 8 chance of winning and so on.
Bankroll and Being Sensible
As with any casino game you must be sensible when you play keno and know in advance how much you are willing to spend when playing Keno. Set yourself a bankroll limit and even if you are on a winning streak, know that you must quit while ahead.
Keno is considered to be a game of luck. But luck can be juggled with to try and move it more in your direction. Don't just rely on luck, watch the game and how it works and what numbers are coming up before you commit your own real money. If after a number of games, your numbers are not coming in, then don't be afraid to change them. Keno can be very rewarding if played with a sensible head and attitude.
