Basic Top and Bottom Keno Tickets
Top and Bottom keno tickets are exactly as they sound. You can decide either to bet on the top half of the Keno ticket or on the bottom half. The Keno ticket is made up of 80 numbers and if you choose the top half for example by drawing a line between the top 40 and the bottom 40 and marking a big "T" across the ticket, you are betting on the chance of more numbers being hit in the top half. In most Top and Bottom games, at least 11 numbers have to be hit out of the 20 that are thrown in order for a win to be gained.
The basic payout for 11 numbers in the top half if you have betted on that half is 2:1. But the more numbers you hit the more the payout. If you hit all 20 numbers in the top half then you stand to win very large sums. Each casino has slightly different amounts to pay out and these should be checked before you start playing.
Advanced Top and Bottom Keno Tickets
Top and Bottom keno tickets are not limited just to the original paper ticket game of Keno. More and more Video Keno machines are offering the chance to play Top and Bottom tickets. It is an easy way to place bets and the player just has to sit back and watch the numbers come in to the top or bottom half of the screen.
Top and Bottom tickets have also been adapted to be Right and Left tickets. A player can either bet on the numbers landing in the right or left hand side of the screen. The same principles apply in this version as the top and bottom tickets. The payout is according to the number of spots that are hit on the left or right side, depending on which one you have bet on, and a minimum number of spots need to be hit in order for the payouts to be made. The more numbers hit, the higher the payout.
